EVENT BEGINS AT 10:00am
Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery on June 19, 1865 – the day when all African Americans were freed from slavery. Set to take place on Friday, June 16 with a Community Fireworks Show starting at sundown + Saturday, June 17 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on Mall C in the heart of Downtown Cleveland, the city-wide, family-friendly celebration and commemoration of Juneteenth.
Festivities will also include a vendor village, soul food row to spotlight Black businesses and entrepreneurs; community programming and education, spoken-word performances, interactive art demonstrations, food and much more.
